This is why studies are rubbish

Spoke to @richard before about studies and here is another one. The headline is great for, sounds great doesn’t it ?

However this is a small sample size, little control, just ten weeks etc. It is basically useless and whilst I may agree it will certainly burn more fat that carbs for those against us (and they are getting noisier and noisier) then this makes it easier for them to debut, just like Kevin Hall did on twitter and rightly so !

I figured out long ago how easy it is to manipulate studies. A careful selection of participants, analizing genetic traits like leptin response, current metabolic states, (deranged or not) and prior eating habits enable the selection of participants that will “prove” just about anything. Add in vague and subjective interpretation of results, and there you go.

It’s very much the same as manipulation of sample size when taking a survey.

yep all that and sample size is the key as it should take account of everything, age, race, sex, DNA etc

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #4

Granted, but this study is no worse than any that have been used to condemn keto and promote vegan, say.

I am pretty sure that is a clickbait site and they can/do say whatever they want to get people to click #fakenews

That’s what I mean though as most studies are rubbish but used too define policy
