Think I've over beefed myself

Got a 3kg beef rib for xmas, but even my legendary love of beef has taken a hit, managed approx 3/4 of it but think will need a week or so break.

The freezer is your friend. You will like it again in a while

(Ellen) #3

Yeah, sent a couple of slices next door for their dog, rest is bagged up in freezer, just have to look for recipes in a week or so. How’s your arm?

#4

I had to break up with lamb for a short while  We’re all good now.

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #5

So, let me get this straight: you’re tired of beef, so you’re asking about Karen’s arm? Wouldn’t that be too lean? How about a thigh instead?:rofl::rofl::rofl:

(Ellen) #6

Yeah, I expect it’ll be more a short holiday away visiting other meats than a break up!

(Ellen) #7

Mmmm, long pig, I may pass on that

(Raj Seth) #8

It was just a fling - it didn’t mean anything!

(Ellen) #9

The remains of my beefageddon! Into the freezer, sure I’ll see it soon.

Since Dec. 23 when I came down with food poisoning (bad oysters) I have had no desire to eat fatty meat of any kind. Even passed on the prime rib on Christmas Day.

At the same time I ate the oysters, I ate a big plate of fatty beef brisket. My stomach seems to associating the food poisoning with fatty meats.

I trust, however, that this too shall pass and a big ribeye awaits down the road.

Hope you feel properly better soon Ben.

This is no time to chicken out! (Har-har-har :rofl:)

Ate a couple of hamburger patties tonight without problem. Seem to be settling in. Tomorrow it’s gumbo and boudin then back to Keto/fasting.

I dropped to 195 before Christmas Day and have stayed below 199 so far. Another day and I’m home free.
