Going on 3 wks in…
I’m sure I’m losing weight, because my pants are falling off. Perfect timing, as I need some new Summer shorts anyway
One thing I have noticed, is that when I ate a lot of carbs, it didn’t matter how much I ate, a few hours later, I would feel so hungry, I almost felt sick ! Like getting pains in the middle of my gut !
So now I eat a big medium protein, high fat breakfast (nearly zero carb) and especially if Im busy doing something, before I know it, its 10 nor 12 hrs later, and I have not eaten 1 bite of anything ! I used to hear about fasting, and Id be thinking, those people have to be out of their minds ! I’d freaking die first !
But now, not even 3 weeks into Keto, and Im going 10 or 12 hrs without even trying ! Yesterday, I did a hardcore, several hour working (rototilling a large part of our backyard, with a lot of hatcheting and pulling on roots) prepping for a pool and by the time we ate dinner, it had been 10hrs since breakfast. As I told my GF, sure, I’m hungry, but I don’t feel like Im ready to die, like I would have only a few weeks ago.
Granted, for dinner I ate a HUGE Ribeye, BBQ’ed to perfection, and some steamed + baked broccoli with Parmesan cheese ! It was SOOO freaking awesome But I was comfortable afterwards, and told my GF I didn’t even need any kind of Keto desert. {I was surprised she ate a half of one of those ribeyes… as she’s not much of a red meat eater}
Anyway, I’m freaking LOVING this way of eating / living I can totally see myself doing this for the long term… permanently ? I dunno. Doesn’t seem too tough at all. Especially as I learn more and more great stuff to eat, that is zero or very low carb.
Pretty excited about the Keto lifestyle
Oh, plus my last two workouts (one work, and one play… hiking) went really well. Honestly, I feel like I’m already becoming fat adapted, although that is supposed to take a little longer…
