The Low Stomach Acid Rabbit Hole

Yeah and add that to the Gyphosate (Round-up) in the food chain, and the properties of Wheat!! It’s no wonder our guts seem universally troubled! Now that I think of it , those two particular poisons are another thing a Ketogenic eating plan addresses.

So there are two main ‘types’ of digestive supplements, at least in my way of looking at it:

Things to help with stomach acids;
And things to help with digesting foods. That means the specific different macronutrients as well as the secretions the various organs put out.

I have tried a wide variety of stuff. For the latter, the best one I found – that let me eat even really big and heavy fat/meat meals without any issues (sometimes I got pain related to gallbladder before) – is ‘pure encapsulations’ brand ‘pancreatic enzyme formula’. (I have no relation to corp/product. That’s just what I ended up finding worked best for me.)

I don’t yet have a pref on the stomach acids one. I had horrible acid reflux, severe allergies, severe asthma, etc. for years – but when lowcarb by sheer chance wiped out all the grains in my diet, all of them vanished.

Add me to the list of folks who used to take Omeprazole, and no longer needs to…very often, at least. Such a relief to be off a med! And not in pain so often. Come on, acid, eat up that fat! :stuck_out_tongue:
