So I attended the Minnesota state fair yesterday along with what seemed like a million others. For those that are unaware, this is a massive very non Keto friendly food on a stick party. I planned on indulging in whatever came my way. I had a corn dog (pronto pup), chocolate dipped cheesecake, Martha’s famous chocolate chip cookies, a strawberry and whipped cream crepe, deep fried snicker bar, lamb kabob, 20 oz Hefeweizen, tator tot hotdish on a stick, cinnamon roasted almonds. Here’s the thing. In years past I would’ve eaten “all” of the above listed. I splurged no doubt, but this time around I had a few bites of each. I had no urge to finish each and every one. The only things I did finish were the lamb kabobs and the beer that I had. Other than that it was more of a sampling day. It was quite nice. I still managed to walk 9 miles and see all the sights and the smells that come with this great event. I was up 2 lbs this am, I’m fasting today until dinner and having a rib eye and asparagus. KCKO.

Great job! That is what folks need to understand about keto; you can indulge, but you will be fine if you get back on the keto horse. And all the walking you did helped offset the carbs.
