how soon can you get keto flu , this is my 3rd day and I was sick as a dog on day 2, I jumped in to fast but don’t want to back out now.

I got keto flu on day 3 and it lasted 4 days. Keep up on your electrolytes.

Consume about a half a teaspoon with a large glass asap. I guarantee you will feel better quick. :cowboy_hat_face:

Welcome to the forum, William and I totally agree with @kaclp and @David_Stilley

Your body is suffering from a carb and sugar withdrawal, you just have to replace the electrolytes and you will be fine =).

Please hang in there - and get your salt. I drink several glasses of heavily salted water a day (nasty but you get used to it), and salt our food liberally.

Don’t forget to eat enough, including fat, and don’t count calories.

Good luck.

I never realized the importance of salt, now it is my go to! If I start feeling funky I try salt, if that doesn’t work then I realize I may actually be sick! That happens rarely now since I adopted this woe!
Keto fly sucks, but if you can get past it then it’s smooth sailing after that! And sometimes jumping head first is a great thing…just keep up the great work!

@gingersmommy’s advice is golden. The only tweak I’d offer is that heavily salted water doesn’t taste nasty to everyone. At least to me, sipping my 48oz of daily homemade concoction is like Gatorade but without that gnawing sugar taste. Delicious!

[Your flu symptoms will pass if you keep the carbs at bay. Unless it’s REALLY influenza, in which case you should still keep the carbs away. Either way, same cure!]

Whoo hoo!!! Wish I heard that more often!
