The evening munchies are back

(Alec) #1

I have been soooo good for soooo long. But now for some reason the evening munchies are back. I hope all you fellow lifelong dieters know exactly what I mean.

Anybody else experience this after a while on keto and fasting? I have a nasty suspicion that I have been too lax on carbs, and I have been eating quite a few macadamias… salted ones… hmmmm… methinks the nut monster has returned.

Any other ideas of why the evening munchies are back?

I get that from time to time. Sometimes I fight through it, others I give in. WORST case, a little water weight goes back on, then it comes back off a couple days later.

If it persists, it might just mean you need to eat a little more at the prior meal. It’s also a matter of recognizing if it’s real hunger or peckishness out of boredom, which is usually the case for me.

I usually grab a couple string cheese sticks and that does the trick.

I succumbed to the macadamia nut temptation a week ago. Started off good. Only a serving with a meal here and there. Then it snowballed.

Finally just said the hell with it and finished the whole bag. Id rather have one bad day than a string of them.

And it was a Costco sized bag at that.

I eat 1/3 of my calories at 1pm and the other 2/3 before 7pm (before 6 if I get to cooking right when I get home from work). That typically holds me over until bed time. I’ll echo what @Baytowvin said with eating more at your last meal.

I was just thinking this myself. I feel a bit peckish and for myself tonight I’m thinking not enough fat in my last meal.

Maccas are addictive, that’s why I only eat them with a meal. I also don’t snack between main meals and that also helps I think.

Eating more on 2mad, the last meal😄
And then a soothing, calming drink night cap…
NO, not that kind you alcohol thinkers😂

It’s a lovely ACV Drink😍
