I don’t know if this video has been posted before but it needs repeating.
It may be preaching to the choir but I’m sure there’s some that may not be convinced yet.
The conspiracy is real folks
Worth watching. Great video.
But I beg to differ: I see no conspiracy here.
Conspiracies take place when a small group of individuals secretly plan to achieve something that is against the law while trying to avoid getting caught.
Our current food and drug production, marketing and distribution systems all operate in concert together right out in the open. They rely on the efforts of hundreds of thousands (millions?) of individuals toiling away across numerous economic sectors. Everything they do is in compliance with the laws and regulations our politicians have crafted to protect and advance their purposes.
None of this strikes me as a conspiracy.
It’s simply another example of the many massively stupid things that we humans inflict upon ourselves at large scale.
Takeaway: Always ask thoughtful questions and don’t do stupid $#!7.
Thanks for the link.
Conspiracies can sometimes take place with a larger group of individuals but it’s still a small percentage of a given population. It depends where it is happening too. Sometimes an entire society is unwittingly part of it (think WWII and Hitler). Groom enough people to think or believe things a certain way and you suddenly have a lot larger group supporting the conspiracy without being aware they are.
Conspiracies aren’t just solely in respect to breaking a law. They are “planning to do something unlawful OR something that can harm others or disadvantage them in some way” without their knowledge, such as trying to impose a will on them or trying to get control of what they can or can’t do. Sometimes there’s a conspiracy of silence to gain control of a group of people or a narrative by withholding information or any meaningful debate on a subject. Usually it’s always for monetary gain or power and advancement.
It’s is very possible that certain key persons in these many fields have a “you scratch my back I’ll scratch yours” agreements going on to make more money at the expense of the health of our society. They get away with it on such a massive scale by having people in key governmental and regulatory positions to avoid headaches or laws that would otherwise make it more difficult for them. Many things slide under the radar as they piggyback other bills/reports/regulations/etc. They gamble on the masses not only being clueless but never believing it could ever be possible with so much oversight, so we pretty much keep each other from looking into something further by placing doubt on their behalf.
We have too many examples in history of this same kind of madness to ever believe it couldn’t be possible or is highly unlikely. It most certainly has happened a lot in the past and is today. Especially with the food industry.
I don’t think the present widespread conspiracies started at a table and they all came together and said “hey let’s do this and this and that”. That’s not how these come to be. Usually separate things are occurring and they turn to each other for assistance in coverup, or they find mutual benefit to combine forces going forward that can make them richer and so it starts that way. Not as some evil Dr No in a back room. Just greedy people and bad actors trying to keep control at any cost.
Applying this definition, then most human interaction boils down to a conspiracy of some sort.
IMHO, the food and drug industries are doing what they are purposed for…. Making money for their shareholders (in any way they see fit… hopefully legal, but see below on that).
The big problem here is the people that we pay to look after the public interest ie the government and its various agencies. We charge these bodies to regulate these massive industries so that they are not killing people. This is where they are falling down. It is very clear to me that they are failing miserably at this task. The legal/authorisation/compliance structure set up by the authorities is simply not good enough to stop these industries making lots of money selling very questionable products.
Alas, the education system also churns out millions of kids each year that are compliant and rarely question what they are told by the Authorities. This is by design. A key output of the education system is compliant worker bees, and it does this very well.
The food and drug industries generally play the game within the legal structure that they live in, occasionally travelling outside legality as demonstrated by the pretty regular fines that the drug industry is charged when they are a little over aggressive with their strategies and the courts find them to have broken the law. But let’s be clear, these fines are a pittance and do not in any way result in changes in behaviour. These industries know that they make the most money for their shareholders when they push the boundaries, and this can result in some very poor consequences for their customers/the public.
So, in general, you can’t blame the industries… they are just playing the game they are charged with. Blame the people you elect. They are the problem.
I can easily blame them because I hold them responsible for knowingly poisoning us in the name of profits. It’s not about just making money. I held pilots lives in my hands every day of my 41 year career and I never once took a shortcut or fudged on any job even when I was told to. I had integrity and the bottom dollar couldn’t change that. Purposely making people sick and even killing them and then keeping them sick just for a buck is not only reprehensible but should be prosecutable.
But I don’t just hold the food, drug and government responsible but I hole the medical community as well.
I don’t leave out the public but they are just doing what they are told. It’s not until they are exposed to the truth that they become accountable.
The key words are “unlawful” or “harmful”, so no I don’t think it boils down to most human interaction. However, with the widespread selfishness of people in our world today it sure makes it seem that way sometimes. Even among families and communities. Yes you can find petty conspiracy-like efforts to control perspectives, even at the family level. And that IS harmful, trying to control what the collective perspective is rather than just letting people come to their own conclusions without information control. On that I would agree with you.
You had said:
“ Conspiracies take place when a small group of individuals secretly plan to achieve something that is against the law while trying to avoid getting caught.”
I was saying “Conspiracies aren’t just solely in respect to “breaking a law”. They are “planning to do something unlawful OR something that can harm others ….” I can cause harm to someone and not be breaking any laws. So I was stating they aren’t just to do something unlawful. The two key words are unlawful or harming.
Okay. Not quite getting the drift but not worth our quibbling over semantics.
My larger point was that conspiring entails secret plans. There’s nothing secret about what drives our industrial food/drug/regulatory complex. They’re screwing us openly.
Alec, Alec, Alec! I don’t know about OZ, but here in the good ole U. S. of A., we have the finest laws money can buy!
I don’t doubt it… one of the problems we have as a global population is that there is a governmental assumption that the USA knows best, and therefore if they say X, then X must be right. But as you say, X has often been bought. So alas, the US tends to export the results of its corruption. And the rest of the world stupidly just follows mindlessly what the US does.
Maybe not in everything, but in many arenas of health, this is just what happens. It is bad! In Aus, we are just a mini-USA with regard to getting chronic health issues just plain wrong.
