Just listened to the Diet Doctor with Gary Taubes. I am very excited about his new book, “The Case for Keto” He has made the first chapter available for free if you are interested in reading it. https://gary-taubes.ck.page/30b0a6a3b7
The Case for Keto - new book by Taubes
Review by Malcolm Kendrick.
I just listened to that podcast too. Thanks for the reminder to get the book. I love all of Taubes work.
I was really intrigued in the Taubes interview where he said some people can do keto with meat and others really need to stick to vegetables and they need to listen to their bodies. I have a hard time digesting meat. I feel really good when I have vegetables. I know there is a way to do keto with vegetarian. Fish is not as much of a problem for me so maybe pescatarian is a way to go in a keto vein.
I digest cold meat more easily than freshly cooked meat. I usually cook my meat in the morning, then eat it cold later in the day. Seems to help
I enjoy a nice ribeye for dinner but only eat half of a large one. The next day for lunch I like it cold with lots of salt.
Interesting. I’ve been eating cold meat for my lunches for a while now. I’ve begun to like eating cold meat, for beef anyway. Chicken seems better warmed if it has skin.
It is available at most libraries, I have read about half of it and really like it. Some of it is a rehash of this article https://www.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/minimal-carbs-lots-of-fat-incredible-results-but-no-science/article37402123/
