The advice my glucometer gives me is amusing

#1

I use a Livongo glucometer which is paid for through my employer/insurance and is great for managing T2 and also doing regular glucose checks with a keto WOE (it includes unlimited strips and lancets).

I’ve turned off pretty much most of the guidance it gives though as it’s very keto-unfriendly. However after every check it gives me a helpful “hint” if I fall below 80 that I’m unable to disable. I thought I’d share as it amused me:

Let’s get this glucose level back up. Have some sugar. 15 grams. Candy works, like 5 Starbursts. Recheck in 15 mins.

starburst

Hmm. No thanks!

The company seems skeptical about keto in general so I don’t see any changes any time soon.

Wow. That is pretty ridicules. Yes, please, have some oh so healthy candy.

I can’t even imagine how disgustingly sweet a starburst would taste now.

I tried a couple caramel m$ms last night that a friend had. They were TERRIBLE.

I hate to admit but I’m pretty sure I 'm still in with love sugar. I have to avoid or I could easily come up with good excuses to eat some.
