I look forward to your data.
Test blood sugar, ketones, or both?
Humm, Im not sure that high ketone scores are the answer, I’ve lost 30kgs over the last two years and my ketones have hardy ever shown higher than .2 . The few times they were a bit higher it was only for a few hours and then went back down again. It was suggested that maybe I’m burning them at “point blank range” as I’m pretty active. I have a Freestyle Optium Neo machine, which I purchased here in Australia, both the glucose and ketone strips are freely available including ebay. The strip prices are around AU$1-20 or less each ( US$0.75c ) for ketone strips, glucose strips are lots cheaper.
Took measures before eating today.
BGL = 4.6 mmol/L
BKL = 1.1 mmol/L
GKI = 4.18 - this is moderate ketosis zone ideal for managing obesity, but not quite the therapeutic zone.
My understanding is that I would need to get into the therapeutic zone to trigger autophagy at a significant level to recycle protein and reduce the potential for skin sag??
