Technologies I'd like to see

  • Real-time, continuous insulin monitoring (effectively, CGM for insulin)
  • Simple, accurate, at-home body fat and lean tissue measurement (DEXA quality at home)

These hypothetical technologies would be game changers.
What would you like to see?

You mean, put the control (back) into the hands of the patient?? Oh my gawds they’d never relinquish control over the plebeians’ minds! lol That’s their cash cow, as reps have been overheard saying.

So we’ve taken it back ourselves :sunglasses: by reading  and thinking :face_with_monocle: on our own and not asking questions of those who would spout all the conventional bs that got us sick in the first place.

Also, another game changer would be to stop censoring information, and let us make our own decisions.

We went to see doctors when we got sick, now we have “wellness checks” wherein a patient sees the doc on a regular (yearly) basis just to “check” on their wellness, or to watch the patient slowly decline until BAM it’s pill time! Cuz, if you’re looking for disease, you’re gonna find it, much to the detriment of the patient, and the financial benefit of the doctor.

A way to measure autophagy

Add glucagon measuring to insulin measuring. If you’re only measuring insulin, you’re only getting part of the picture.

Something that would tell me whether I’m affected by oxalates; whether I’m affected by dairy such as cheese, sour cream, cream; why some plants (zucchini, raw sauerkraut) affect me poorly; why I can have leg cramps…sometimes; accurate measures of minerals such as potassium, zinc, Mg, K, and their optimum ratios; something that really tells me what my actual “insulin resistance” is and what my fat insulin resistance is.

I’d like a CKM (continuous ketone monitor). I know ketones can be noisy and it might drive some people crazy, but I like to know what my ketones are doing…and I don’t want to have to poke my finger every time I want to check them (especially when fasting). Especially since I’m trying to keep my GKI as low as I can.
