TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and Keto

This differentiation has to be out there somewhere. Much of China must have been in ketosis for much of the year years ago.
Do any other Licensed acupuncturists out there know of any texts about this?
Or anybody at all?
I’d love any info about this.

I’m not an expert in Chinese history, despite being from Chinese background. But I am curious what makes you think Chinese would have been in a state of Ketosis. Rice and Soy are both staples of Chinese diets, followed by vegetables. For a lot of Chinese civilisation, meat was scarce. Without access to vegetable fats (Olive, palm, avocado, etc), I can’t see why Ketosis would be a natural state during the time of civilisation advanced enough to develop medicine.

Its a very valid concern though. I have noticed that a couple of my western medicines seem to be much more effective while on a low carb diet, so I assume the dame will be true for TCM.

I’m talking about before the cultivation of grains. I’m definitely not singling out China. My ancestors were from Eastern Europe, and I assume the same for them.
But I only know pattern discrimination for TCM.
Texts from one or two thousand years ago show teachers/doctors in China were true masters at their craft!
I expect they would have known about ketosis, probably be another name and would have thought about and written about it somewhere.
