Taking a break from keto, and feel horible and need advice
I don’t know if you were doing keto to the extreme that you are not, but wow. Perhaps you might consider something in between what you are doing now and the keto plan you were on.
The headaches, thirst and hyperurineation are all driven by insulin(ask any diabetic). It’s quite possible that your insulin is raging.
Why are you worried about being to thin? Your body is designed to burn fat. Eating fat will be the optimal way to supply this source if your body fat has grown thin. Eat fat. More fat. Eat fat after that. Fat, more fat. There’s no reason for you to eat carbs. They are not a beneficial fuel source and that’s why your body is now revolting.
Basically it’s very simple. But when we take anything to the extreme we can create problems. The other thing I wonder about is your exercise routine. It’s possible to overdo that as well. Most ketogenic diet plans recommend little to none vigorous exercise.

Keep calm and keto on
Never done it so don’t have any good experience to help but the milk alone is 75g+ of just carbs (lactose). There are many things that could be screwing you up
- Shock of many carbs vs. very few on keto
- increase in protein (unlikely per se but maybe in combo with other things)
- increase in calories? Not sure if you are or not but the milk is 1000kcal if whole
- Lifting is stressing you more than expected
- Revealed lactose intolerance after being off it for a while
- Some or all of the above
You have changed up a lot of things at once, making it hard to know. Good luck.
Also - if your body was still losing weight on keto, there was probably a good reason. Were you undereating before? I don’t remember that being a problem. Your body sounds like it might be happy lighter than your mind is (bizarro land )
You could have tried to eat a greater volume of keto foods, done the lifting keto to build muscle, slow reintroduction of some carbs, etc. You picked a nuclear option and seem to be reaping the whirlwind
Of course, it could all be temporary so you could KCWKO - Keep Carbing and White Knuckle On?
