Taco Tuesday

So it is taco Tuesday! One of my favorite days of the week! I bought a package of the low carb tortillas I was thinking of trying. I am blowing a .10 on my breathalyzer so I feel comfortable trying one at dinner and seeing what happens. My question is, what have others experienced with these? I know I should only get my carbs from leafy greens, but I think of all the cream cheese and cheese, HWC etc that I get carbs from and it does not seem to have a negative impact. I am going to try this as my n=1 and see what happens, but I am really hoping it goes well and Tuesday can be a fake cheat day almost for me. My daily carb count is usually 10g or less so haveing one tortilla at 6g to me is a big cheat. Does anybody have a sort of “fake” cheat day also?

No, not yet, but I have 2 1/2lb tub of Coconut flour on the counter that I haven’t been brave enough to open yet. I want to try the microwave bread for a cheeseburger. Maybe I will do it on Friday!

I’ve been wondering about those low carb tortillas as well. It’d be a nice break from using romain hearts all the time. (Been thinking of trying it with a circle of baked cheese or fathead dough too.)

My wife eats one almost every day, usually with peanut butter before the gym. I don’t have a problem with them but don’t use them, I am usually eating one large meal and the tortilla can only hold so much. I just toss it all in a bowl and eat.

I get my carbs from wherever I want - HWC, cheese, some bacon or sausage (heavy processing adds carbs), sometimes from keto friendly brownies or buscuits. If you can tolerate it, I say do it. The only way to know is to try.

Well, I had the Carb Balance Tortilla from Mission Brand. It had an odd taste. To be honest I wouldn’t eat it again. For the taste not worth the carbs. 6 g per tortilla, still stayed under 20 all day, but I will just skip them.

Update; Had the disgusting low carb tortillas yesterday. I usually blow between a .07 to a .10 on my breathalyzer. This morning it was a .03. Nothing in my diet changed except for having the low carb tortillas. I have a feeling they do have and impact on me even if I stay under the 20 g.
