Sweating?

I’m not used to being this in tune with my body, but for the last couple of days I’ve been sweating in the morning, especially after I drink a cup of coffee. It usually stops in the afternoon.

I had RLS two nights ago, but thanks to this place I read that magnesium deficiency can cause that. So, I got some magnesium and had no problems last night.

Hoping you all can help me figure out what’s going on with the sweating.

What do you put in your coffee?

caffeine has a thermogenic affect…coupled with a hot liquid…it can raise core temperature. especially if you are adding fat to your coffee…instant energy

it’s possible that your tolerance has decreased with your new WOE and you may need to adjust your brew

assuming you haven’t added something new that you may have a sensitivity to ie; cream, artificial sweetener, etc

I put heavy whipping cream and stevia in my coffee.

@mikki, what is WOE?

The heavy whipping cream can be providing you with an extra boost of energy, while you are fat adapted. The opposite of this is when someone is fasting, feeling cold, and then they eat and piece of butter or coconut oil, and then it increases their body temperature.

WOE is way of eating.

No chance this was after a few days that included alcohol? I’ve noticed since being fat adapted that I’ll sweat randomly the day after a night where I have a drink or two. Not sure it’s related but thought I would drop it out there…

Nope. Hadn’t had a drink for a few days.

I’ve felt that way at some point or another, yet I’ve noticed that since putting coconut oil and HWC in my coffee I do feel a blast of energy or rather a caffeinated high. I used to be ably to handled 2 to 3 cups, now I can barely have one cup of coffee. If I may suggest if you’re not all ready doing a low-carb drink, anything clear like vodka tequila or rum might help. If you wanted you could it with a Lacroix carbonated beverage or any water flavored enhancer that is Keto friendly. It’s possible that you might not have that fog the following day. If to start to feel a slight headache, I take a healthy pinch of salt and mix it w/hot water and drink you. It totally does the trick:-)!!

I had the exact opposite. I stopped sweating almost entirely after a few days (which I attribute to the inflammation & obesity going down).

I still sweat a fair bit from drinking alcohol (even just 1 beer). Back when I was in glucosis I would sweat like crazy from coffee but it’s only a mild effect now. Perhaps your metabolism is also working harder in the morning too?
