Super hungry and then not hungry

Some days I’m hungry all day like I am never full, other days are " normal" I’m able to eat a couple times a day and then fast and then other days I am not hungry at all! Anyone else get like this ?

Yup. Some non-fasting days are like I’m eating as a job in order to get enough calories in.

OTOH, there are worse jobs…

Some days I can extend fast for 3 days and other days I can’t stop eating anything keto related, all the snacks, pork rinds jerky etc. Lol.

I’m SOO glad I just read this. I’m almost in tears over here because I CANNOT stop eating since I did a 3 day fast last wknd :unamused:. I thought fasting is supposed to help the grehlin response so you’re not so hungry. But I really just cannot fill up. I was so much better before I fasted. And the 2lbs I lost are back. Sigghhhhhh

Yep, you’ll usually bounce a little after a fast, it seems.

Just searched this topic as today I am so hungry, I have not stopped eating in the last 5 hours. Makes me feel out of control, hoping tomorrow my appetite decreases to “normal”.

Your not the only one. Sometime I spontaneously fast, sometime I’m ravenous and can’t get enough. Sometimes I’m ravenous and then I only eat half my meal because I’m full so quick. Sometimes I only feel like a small meal then end up nearly emptying the fridge. I’m all over the map.

Yes very much so. There appears no reason for it. I can fast for 2 or 3 days happily. I can eat 1 meal a day for days on end. Then suddenly bang!! I cannot fill myself. I stick to keto food but am eating all day long. Today has been one of those days. It will pass I promise.

It would seem like our body knows what it needs and when.

I get hungry when I am thinking about what is in my refrigerator… ribs, steaks, wings, sausage etc. It’s purely in my head. My stomach is honestly indifferent and I know if I eat then, it’s purely to entertain my palate. If we can beat sugar cravings, we can beat the idea of having a scrumptious keto meal sooner than we should.

Glad to know I’m not the only one! Some days, like today, I feel like I can’t eat enough. But then I have days like yesterday where I think I only ate like 200 calories worth of food and felt fine.
