Sugar-RANT

(Kellie) #1

Now this post is just me ranting so get on the train or hop off lol I just can’t believe how much sugar is apart of our lives and we don’t even know it. Besides from loosing weight keto has helped to open my eyes to food and what it really means to eat and be healthy . Things I would so call claim to be healthy I have come to find out have hidden sugar in it. This world (food industry ) is disgusting . No wonder diabeties is on the rise because sugar is put in everything . I found out sausages and bacon have sugar. Who would have thought . I think it’s because we aren’t physically putting sugar on these products that we assume it wouldn’t someone have it in it. What really promoted my rant was my latest sugar discovery . 2 weeks ago at Walmart I bought these frozen broccoli and rice on the go things , thought it would be coinvient . I haven’t eaten them yet but since then Iv been more aware of sugar and so I decided to look at the package . AND THERE IS WAS. Sugar. That son of a b****. In brocolli and cheese these people somehow added sugar. I’m just sickened with the way the food industry is . Also sugar free things have sugar just in a different form . It’s everywhere and I’m like a Parinoid I’d freak about it now lol rant over

I get odd stares when I’m at the stores when I’m shopping because I am closely examining the packages to look for the …UCTOSE-something and looking at the massive refined sugar content, never ceases to amaze me how much sugar or uctose gets sneaked into something 0 sugar (less than a gram of sugar)? Makes me think Bill Gates & Population Control Protocols which sounds totally ridiculous to me but then again my mind starts wandering into the contention that those conspiracy theorists might have something…lol

Good rant. Love it!

There is a solution! Just don’t buy packaged foods. Best diet is eating nothing that needs a food label with ingredients listed. Food processors do these things for a reason: it is usually to do with shelf life, filling out with a cheap ingredient, or just trying to make their average offering taste better!

There is no sugar in steak and broccoli bought from the meat and veg aisle. Give me some butter and eggs and I’ll make hollondaise sauce and voila! Yes, yes, I know, butter has to have an ingredients list, but you get my point!
Cheers

Be unapologetic. Be firm. You understand now that you’ve been being poisoned by the food industry. If that doesn’t make you cranky, THAT’S what’s wrong. You can’t unlearn facts and the truth…

It really is a big part of peoples lives. I remember when I first went low carb and people thought it was weird when I quit eating things people don’t generally consider sugary but are, like ketchup or BBQ sauce. Practically liquid sugar but they are so vinegary and salty as well people who are used to drinking soda and starbucks frappes all day don’t even notice how much they actually have. Not only is it snuck into everything but people don’t even notice it when its there, clear as day! The food industry calls it the bliss point or something like that. Its when the combo of fat sugar and salt are perfect so you want more and wont notice how much you are having. I also had a moment of “WE"RE BEING POISONED BRING ME MY TIN FOIL HAT!” when I found that out

Oh yeah and I bought my baby store brand apple sauce rather than the one I usually buy because they were out and then I got home, opened it, and then realized they added sugar. WTF? WHY?!!! Are apples not sweet enough?! UGGGH!

Amazing once our eyes are opened to the hidden sugar in everything.

I’m a store manager complainer and store stocker conversationist (scaring the beejesus out of other customers) and I recently started noticing the vast choice selections of organic stuff on the shelves without any uctose (ketchup too) in it! “CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW NEIGHBORHOOD WALMART!” Lol!

Yeah, this wasn’t even a store I usually shop at. Usually I actually buy apples and make the stuff to make sure its all good. That’s my fav. way to go because I get paranoid about canned/boxed anything prepared.

Especially by the time I get to the cash register and the cashier asks me “…did you find everything ok? …” …since you asked, ok!..:face_with_monocle: :smirk: That’s when the store manager quietly slips away in the background!
