Sugar Detox Article

#1

I just happened upon this article today and the whole time I was reading it I was cheering in my head.

Haha it won’t let me read it unless I was willing to “subscribe for one month for $1” no thanks, not giving out my cc to them! I am sure that it is a nice article though =).

Try this one:

Thank you, Michael, that works =).

It certainly is a Sugar and a Carb Detox when we do Keto. They are both wicked addictions; thus the withdrawals we get when beginning Keto.

#5

Ugh, sorry about that. Not sure why it let me read it (I don’t have a subscription), but thank you @amwassil for finding a workaround!

#6

I just updated the link in my OP to the one Michael provided, so it should work for everybody now. : )

When I tried to view it at Washington Post, it objected to the ‘Private Browsing’ feature I have enabled in Firefox. So I suspect if you’re not using that or the equivalent in other browsers the subscription window does not block you.

#8

Ahhh, that may be it.

(Susan) #9

I have this too! It told me I could if I paid them $1 for a trial one month membership though, but I just exited.

Yes, it works, and it is a really good article, I just wish I had of started eating Keto years ago. At least I am doing it now, but I always knew the Sugar was bad for me. I just thought low fat or fat free was the way to go until I discovered Keto in February.

#11

Yes! I was happily surprised when I saw this article the other day.

I was thinking the same thing when I was reading about the grandmother. So much damage done that could have been avoided had I known earlier in life. So many years feeling that it was futile to try to lose weight, because I felt I had no chance against food in the battle of willpower.

“How to sell a keto diet without saying keto or carbs”

And don’t mention the evil saturated animal fats such as butter in the article :astonished: Stick to the safe ones like olive and coconut oil. Only list butter in a link. And ignore lard and bacon grease.

Actually I was happy to see this article. Just still chuckling at how they have to tip-toe around certain dietary “standards”. It’s a start!
