Sudden Stall - can’t see why - nearly a week after such steady progress - any ideas?

I’m normal weight /BMI dropping a bit more w keto diet ( 137 BMI 23 to now 129-130 aiming at 120 BMI 20) just cuz I like it there.

On intermittent pure ketogenic ( <10 netcarbs/day) and LCHF ( <23netcarbs/day).
Per blood keto meter, running bw 0.3 and 0.7 ketones w no vitamin C ingestion - every day.
Feel great - run or swim every day just 20 min or so but at a very active time since we are moving house.

So I’m at this plateau with weight remaining at 128-129-130-129 past 4-5 days mb it’s been 6 or 7. Bulletproof coffee every morning. Using an egg diet +/- 16:8 intermittent fasting these past days but then add fish and salad or sautéed vegies for dinner w my hubbie. Small portions are no problem. Nothing extra. One shot vodka before dinner, no beer !
Anything I can add or alter to this program ? I want to get to my 120 goal and cruise there, maybe add some further vegie carbs etc while keeping close eye on all measures.

Not sure why I’m stuck right now - any ideas ?

How long have you been eating like this?

In my opinion, 4 or 5 days is not stuck. Keto is not linear. Just be patient! There is a lot going on inside that we can’t see. Also liquor can stall weight loss as the liver tends to it first. Try skipping that BPC for a cleaner IF.

Yah, I know - people are “stuck” for much longer. I’m going to be traveling and without Scale for the next week and maybe even two since second destination may or may not have one ha ha. That’ll probably be good for me. Or maybe I should pack my scale ha ha.

What is BPC ?? sorry don’t remember if I ever knew that.

My understanding of liquor is that vodka and other hards have 0 carbs if nothing added and the liver will deal with it first but only til the etOH is dealt with. Just one shot should not be for too long. But you’re right, I could stop that and see what happens.

Thanks !

BulletProof Coffee

About a month. Prior to this, though, it was organic vegie fish/seafood with just a little oatmeal or brown rice now and again, not much else. Except of course an IPA or 2 split with my hubbie just about nightlly (!). No more of that now although enjoy just a shot of grey goose most nights.

Oh of course !!! How could I forget that ??? - Interesting idea to skip the MCTs while intermittant fasting. I guess all these things are worth a try - ha ha some easier than others if we’re busy with a bunch of things and just trying to add all this properly. Might give this a try as well, thanks !

I was having coffee with lots of heavy cream every morning during my IF & was losing weight fine for 7 months then I stalled for about 6 weeks so I switched to 1 tsp MCT oil in one coffee in the morning & my weight loss picked up again. I don’t have as much to lose now, but still probably 20 pounds at least. I expect this part of my journey will take longer than the first part. That’s fine with me

Yah that’s quite a stall !!! Congrats on staying with it ha ha I might find that hard to do, guess i’m a bit distractable. Yah MCT in coffee’s what I’m doing. Actually got tired of heavy whipping cream - such a treat in the beginning

Just to reinforce what others on here are saying - 6 weeks is barely a stall (especially if her body comp was changing at the same time) and 5 days is definitely not a stall.

Do a fast for a few days do reset your system. Water and maybe a cup of coffee with a small amount of HWC. Skip the extra fat in your coffee. Your body is using the extra fat you eat for energy, great, but you already have extra fat on your body it can use. And skip the booze. Your body will use the alcohol for energy before it uses your fat. Also try interval training. Go hard for 20 seconds, go easy for 40 seconds. Do that for 20 minutes. This is what I say to myself “Do I want my body to burn the fat I just ate? Or the fat off my ass?”
