Sudden bloating issues

#1

Hi all…I know this has been talked about before but didn’t find anything that hit home for me when I searched the topic.
Anyway, I’m 9-10 weeks in and noticed at the beginning how great it was that I was never feeling bloated!
FF to the past week to 2 weeks and wow am I getting so bloated after my first real meal of the day and just remaining bloated all day. My digestive system has slowed down for sure, have been taking magnesium nightly since day one and that had kept me regular but although I’m still having daily movements it’s noticeable less than before. I would guess this is related…
I am being very mindful of sodium…I could be a little better with potassium…

Any advice to help alleviate this issue? Thanks!!

Are you eating something now that you didn’t eat before keto? Maybe increased dairy? Added nuts? My body bloats when I eat something it doesn’t like.

I am interested in this as well. My bloat went way down during a period of carnivory, but then has started to come back, sometimes even while fasting!

So maybe when you’ve been all carnivore, slowly add different veggies back into your diet and see which one/s bloat you up. It’s possible you could have other reactions as well, such as: the food makes you sleepy, or your heart rate speeds up, or you feel warm or flushed in the face.

Diagnosisdiet.com has some great articles about the effect vegetables can have on our bodies.

So far I can tolerate zucchini, summer squash, mushrooms. Tried salads ( small) and bloat came back immediately! It’s an interesting journey.

Was there dressing on the salad or was it just the greens?

Dressing and greens. My regular home made oil and vinegar.

I can have a max of 1/2 cup veggies right now of the ones I tolerate.

Maybe the vinegar?

I can’t have any dairy and there are some nuts that cause trouble. I’m a little concerned about coconut, but that is my go to since I can’t eat dairy. Checking for trouble with coconut, I have to admit, will be the ultimate last resort. That would be sadder than giving up dark chocolate… maybe.

I’ve woke up a lIL bloaty after 6 litre water night.

I’m in the same boat. Trialling no dairy for 3 weeks and seeing if that helps.
