Subway ... I'm annoyed

So I thought I’d like hot lunch today. Decided to get the meatballs from subway. Figured 3 bowls would be enough for my lunch today. Thought great red sauce and meat… Totally nailed it… NOT

Just thought I’d google the nutrition values and it’s 15g net carbs per bowl… I’ve had three of them

So thinking I was being good I just went 15net carbs over my daily limit… Why didn’t I check before I went. I could have had something else from the supermarket and had next to no carbs …

Ouch. I made meatballs by the thousands in my first job at a family-owned Italian restaurant. Their recipe was based on a balance. Bread crumbs are way cheaper than meat, but if your meatballs are all bread you throw them away because nobody wants them. I doubt anyone at Subway thinks that way. Who knows what fillers are in commissary megachain corporate meatballs. I’m betting there’s transglutaminase aka meat glue.

I totally forgot the bread in the meatballs… As when I make them myself at home I’d not bother… That explains a lot … Never going there again … Super anoyed as I’ve had 2 weeks of sticking to the diet at 10g or less of carbs and then I go and ruin it thinking I was just eating meat

Oh I’ve made mistakes like this. You have to remember that every restaurant, especially chain/fast food places will have added carbohydrates and yucky additives to make their trash food more appealing. Don’t let it hold you back! Keep calm and keto on :v:

My advice is to mistrust anything from a fast food outlet. I only use them in dire emergencies.

I know I should have known better but lesson learned. Carried on the next day with keto. In my mind I was keto anyways with a slight hickup
