Pretty much completely bass akwards. IMPO (with some scientific evidence to back it) a healthy, properly functioning body will self regulate how much salt it needs. (if you need more salt, you will crave salt, and if you eat more than you need, your body will get rid of the rest) and we already know that the whole thing about cholesterol has been completely twisted out of proportion. Sodium and cholesterol probably do make a difference… for some people… sometimes… But overall, they are poor indicators of overall health.

Also, I think most people will agree, that if a person eats a generally good diet, and not to excess, plus gets some good exercise, including cardio, their bodies will do a better job with regulating sodium, cholesterol, and pretty much every other thing we take in as well.
