Struggling to lose weight on keto

If I’m doing the math right, that’s like twenty cups of water!! How did you decide on that amount. Are you worried about flushing out any electrolytes?

Sorry, not sure which amount you’re talking about. 1 litre of water is 4 cups. So, yep, 5 litres is 20 cups.
As long as you’re getting enough sodium, your cells should be retaining their micro-nutrients. That being said, as long as you’re eating a balanced diet - then you should be getting enough potassium and magnesium that you have more than enough.
I have noticed a couple of times my calf cramps coming back (which is an indication that my magnesium levels are low) - any time that happens, I have an electrolyte drink to recharge my micronutrient levels. (it’s usually an indication that I haven’t had enough salads and veggies in the days prior). When I go back and look at what I’ve been eating in MFP, it’s always a self-defacing moment of “Well, you dumbass, you KNOW you need to eat your greens!”

Edit: I have a 20 ounce polycarbonate tall glass that I keep in front of me whenever I’m home. If you get in the habit of keeping that full, you’d be amazed how much water you’ll go through in a day if it’s there in front of you.
(I don’t find water bottles as successful…there’s just something about an open glass that invites you to drink more).
