Stress and Fasting Glucose

#1

This is not specifically related to fasting as it is just my morning blood glucose reading. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Usually my fasting blood sugar is 5.4 mmol/L or lower. Today it was 6.9 mmol/L. It is also the first day of school for my son. Can stress really Jack up my blood sugar that much? Type-2 diabetes doesn’t run in my family (hence the reason I eat low carb and clean). Thanks for the replies.

I bet that’s true, but I have never had the opportunity to test it. Our kids have 3 days at home, 2 days at school.

If that reading is from the morning, it could be a combination of stress and dawn phenomenon.

However, if you’ve been eating keto for any length of time and your HbA1C is low, then you probably don’t need to worry.

Oh, and I tend not to stress about things. My wife does the stressing for me. :grinning:
