Strawberrys

#1

Last year I wasn’t eating keto, no strawberrys. This year I am ketoing and my strawberrys are a mass of flowers. Can I eat them? Strawberrys and cream can’t wait.

From my reading, strawberries are counted as some of the lowest carb fruits. Appears 1/2 cup is roughly 5 net carbs. Can you eat them? Sure you can but I suppose that depends on other factors. Are you diabetic? Do you wish to take the carb hit for the day? I love summer berries so I do have one or two every few days. It doesn’t seem to hinder me but I’m just one body.

I like strawberries, too, and I do eat them. I don’t eat a pint at a sitting, though, which might be kinda easy for some to do. They’re more of a condiment for us. I do also take maybe a cup of them and add a bit of stevia or erythritol and a bit of vanilla in a food processor and make a “syrup” for our pancakes, our usual Sunday morning thing. I do the same thing with blueberries sometimes. Probably a bit on the carby side but I enjoy them both. Occasionally, they’ll also go into something such as keto muffins, but again, they’re more of a condiment than a food group.

Just how we use ‘em. Nothin’ like fresh, though! Enjoy!

I have about 3 at a time, cut up very small, mixed into whipped cream to make them go further, yummy. Count them in with my carbs.
