Also seems every time they extend this crap people re-stupify and clear the shelves again. It’d be funny if it wasn’t sad. Things were (more or less) getting sane again and after the stay in order got extended again people are clearing shelves again like the stores are going to close.

Spending money is fun. A lot of that hoarded food will never be consumed, wasteful. I have enough food to stay shut in for 30 days but that’s only twice what I usually keep and (except for 6 pounds of peanut butter) only the things I eat day to day. In six days I’ll go shop at three stores to top off the food supply for 12 days. Everything needs to be in stock to avoid extra trips. Buying more food for the sake of fewer shoping trips makes sense but more than 30 days seems cumbersome even living alone.
