No, I eat a tsp to tbsp which is nowhere near that amount. I’d call that a normal amount. According to my bag of E, 50g is 1/4 cup. That’s a huge amount in a sitting.
Stomach pain from...?
That was directed at guitar1969 who posted that study as “proof” that erythritol causes gut problems. And like most claims to these sorts of things, it involves an obscene amount of said product in a single setting. Like, if I drank a gallon of water in one sitting, I’m gonna get a stomach ache too.
Gotcha. Its true that sensitivities vary and some sugar alcohols are much more troublesome. E is one of the good ones.
I just bought a bag of Allulose which people on Keto also swear by as zero glycemic and is supposed to be great in baking as it carmelizes like normal sugar. Haven’t cooked with it yet though.
It’s called a ‘rare sugar’, naturally occurring in small amounts in nature.
You could substitute chia or hemp seeds for the flax. They’re really healthy with lots of omega 3 fats, extremely low net carb.
You might check your almond milk. I’ve found that some have carageenan, which causes me GI distress.
Honestly, as I learn more about my body, the less I want sweet stuff.
Remember, the big companies are using PET Scans to formulate their food to trigger parts of the brain to make their food ADDICTIVE. (Why can’t you eat just one, or stop once you pop?)
For me, natural food is: Salt, Water, Club Soda (homemade), pepper, and meat/fat from animals. (Coffe and Tea, but black, unsweetened)
The club soda is my mouth feel pleasure without going to diet sodas. I should get rid of it, and will eventually. For now, it works.
Anyways, we are all different in what works for us. I honestly cant fathom eating a cereal any more. If it’s not bacon, or ribeye… Why waste my time. LOL.
This is from a site I follow. https://mariamindbodyhealth.com/flax-not-healthy/
You’ll have to type them in yourself. Sorry.

One thing I have noticed and quite extremely, is I can’t stomach hot spicy foods much. I’ve never had this problem and it’s quite disappointing but I’ll get over it even though I love hot spicy foods. Every time I eat anything with habanero or cayenne, I now get a slight gut ache and it last for about 1-2 hours.
@Melzell provided her link a few posts up. I’m not sold on it being bad for women myself but there are quite a few people who believe it’s unhealthy so I can see why people may want to look into it.
UPDATE; the pains left that evening. I’ve eaten all of the cereal ingredients separate in a different meal except the almond milk. No stomach pains from any them. CONCLUSION: 1/2 cup almond milk is just too much for me. I’ll stick to having it in a recipe.
THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO PITCHED IN TO HELP ME!!!
