I’m not looking for any back patting or "well done"s, but just wanted to share what I hope is a typical and easily achievable weight loss pattern/rate by following the Ketogenic way of eating. These graphs are taken from the measurements I’ve put into the health app on my iPhone in the last 12 months.
The first graph shows a period of few measurements (pre Keto) when I was mostly doing a low fat, moderate carb diet. Historically I never got much below 174lbs end point and always yo-yo’d back up again. The September reading marks my start of Keto and the fairly consistent month on month weight loss I’ve been enjoying ever since. Within those months I’d still have fluctuations on a daily/weekly basis of up to 4lbs, but the important thing to me is the bigger picture.
Now, fast forward to January and after a could of weeks of re-charging my keto batteries following an enjoyable (and boozy) Christmas break, to make sure I was properly back into Ketosis and fat adapted I started Intermittent Fasting. The results (as one would hope) have been great and while it’s not been a landslide difference, it has been significant in that it does, for me at least, keep the weight loss from stalling…
I’m only just really starting to appreciate the benefits of IF, but a good start at least and a tool that I am happy to keep on using for better overall health.
Thanks for the support guys. It really provides results!
