Staying on keto

(Buddy Amoroso) #1

I have watched all of the YouTube videos, listen to all of the podcast and read all of the studies. I know keto.

But I keep failing to stay on the keto diet. I’ll will stay on the diet for a month then I fall back to my old ways of eating when my bio markers start climbing I’ll get back on keto diet.

This morning my blood sugar was 159 so I’m back on keto.

I know the problem is I’m in undisciplined.

A lot of people that seriously struggle could be not getting enough fat too. Fat is good at killing hunger and cravings. Or, find some keto friendly replacements for some stuff. If you’ve already done that, try to limit those replacements as some people get cravings. If you are intaking extra artificial sugars (sucralose, aspartame, acefulsame k for example), try to eliminate them as they can cause cravings.

I ate fat when craving in the beginning. What I liked about keto was that I didn’t need a lot of discipline. When hungry eat fat till full. Need a snack? Cheese, pepperoni and olives with nuts. I ate about 3 full meals with a snack in the beginning. The first 2 months. Then I wasn’t hungry after a fatty coffee in the morning. I could start my day at 6am and not eat again until 1pm. Then it was 2pm. Then it was a snack and dinner at 4pm. Now it depends on my day. If I’m going to be out all day I need breakfast at 8am. Good until 2pm. If I’m not going to be home right away I take cheese and nuts with me. Carb proof your pantry. Give it away or throw it away. Keep fat snacks. Cheese sticks olives nuts in moderation. You can do this. You just need right tools. I was TD2. Reversed on keto. Plan it work it. You can do this.

Set your keto snacks in sight. Eat keto food, especially FAT until FULL. Repeat.
