I am basically handling the no fruit or sugar but i have an addiction to chai tea and was wondering if i can cheat with a chai tea or make a chai tea keto friendly?

It depend on what you mean by chai. Actual chai tea bags are usually low or zero sugar, but stuff like Oregon Chai has a lot of sugar.
In general, you want to stay as strict as possible for the first few months to let your body adjust. After that you can play around with adding things in to see if they create a stall or not. Many people, however, find their tastes change pretty quickly and suddenly things you thought you couldn’t live without don’t even interest you anymore.

Chai tea itself is fine. Chai tea latte is where it can go off the rails. But search for Keto recipies. There are several floating around. If not here, definately in Google.
