Started a Fat Fast Today

So being that I’ve written before about how the scale after three months is pretty much up .4 down .2 etc. etc. bouncing around with not much weight loss, I decided after reading for two days on Fat Fasts to try a 3 day one.

Today was Day One and not really hard. I started with my unsweetened coffee with HWC, 2 pieces of bacon (only because my husband cooks and I hadn’t told before he cooked it) and my one ounce of cream cheese. I then only ate one ounce increments of cream cheese for the rest of the day and water. In total my macros were 864 calories, 85.1 fat, 22.6 protein, 6.8 carbohydrates.

I plan to do this Saturday and Sunday. I wasn’t really hungry st all and thought the cream cheese would be gross, but it really wasn’t. Am I doing this right or do I need to change anything?

Not really necessary to limit your calories on a fat fast. Have a little more bacon!

lol don’t limit calories on a “fast”. Am I in bizarro land? sign me up for these unlimited calorie “fasts”

I was gonna say everything I read says “limit calories on a fat fast to 1,000 but 800 is better, if you can.” The only point of a fat fast is too make a plateau move. If you over indulge, I would think nothing will come of it. Today, I am down a pound and a half I am happy to say.

One other question I have though is…being anything we eat makes our insulin spike, is it better to eat say 3 ounces of cream cheese at one time then dividing it up throughout the 8 hours like I did yesterday? Or doesn’t that matter during a fast? The directions I read, were to divide it up and eat one ounce st a time.
