Standard newbie fears

I feel like I already know the answer to this but I’m hoping for comfort and validation nonetheless.

Is it common in the first month for symptoms and energy to fluctuate a lot? Some days I have energy in buckets, minimal inflammation and sleep well, other days all my joints ache and I don’t have energy for anything, get cramps, insomnia etc.

struggling to tell the difference between newbie fluctuations and red flags that I need to correct something.

I had very similar side effects as well in the first couple of months, and insomnia while in ketosis is very common, as well as the energy highs and lows. The one thing I didn’t experience though was cramping or achy joints. You might just need some electrolytes added in. Also, if you’re having trouble sleeping, take magnesium before bed. That’s what helped my insomnia. Now when I sleep, it’s lights out!

That’s what I’ve been doing, and added kava supplements. Seems to help. Guess I just have to be careful not to miss a day.

It’s normal at first. And don’t be surprised if you have a very emotional day as well. Happened to me a couple times the first month.
