“Stalled”....I pray that this will encourage you!

(Ron D. Garrett) #1

Just wanted to encourage my Keto brothers and sisters who HAVEN’T lost weight for a while to remain patient since Keto is FIRST and FOREMOST a way of life/eating that FIRST heals the body and as a by-product the body burns fat resulting in “weight loss”.

After a SIX MONTH stall I’m finally losing again and as of today I’m below 260lbs (258) which is 2lbs below the weight that I as powerlifter/bodybuilder weighed when I exited military service.

Now understand that this “stall” didn’t affect me much because as a former bodybuilder there were times during the “cutting” (weight) process no matter how perfect I ate sometimes the weight would simply not come off for a while.

We MUST understand that the human body will protect itself from death as much as possible and normally rapid weight loss and death accompany each other so the body will sometimes hold onto what it has and once it realizes that the weight loss is “okay” it will allow the body to resume the process of dropping bodyfat.

Now also understand that this is a simplification of the body’s processes and there can also be other factors to consider so I always encourage those who are concerned at a “stall” to ensure that if they don’t “track” macros to do so at least for a while to ensure that you have not gotten so comfortable that you actually consume more carbs (very easy to do) than you should for healing/weight loss and please ensure that you do NOT use your “stall” as an excuse to not eat as you should since as a “trainer” “excuses are nails that build a house of failure” (Creflo Dollar).

Be patient…this is a lifestyle and is TOTALLY different than a “diet”.

Lastly, for those who continue to try to denounce this way of eating/life know that MANY of my vegetarian, weight watcher’s, and other “diets” friends/family bloodwork get’s a “little” better or with no change at all…sadly many have gotten predictably worse (not knocking those but so far its been true…weight lost but health unchanged much) while mine CONTINUALLY get’s better and even at 52 YO I"m STILL able to put on muscle!!!

SO HANG IN THERE!!! STOP addressing the “hater’s” and do do YOU!!!

They don’t have to live with the results if you stop YOUR healing of YOUR body so STOP listening to them.

They were silent when your butt got “fat” and said rarely anything as you chowed down on “Ho Ho’s”, donuts and probably even at some level enabled you but NOW that you are regaining your health EVERYONE seems to have an opinion.

Silence that noise and continue to become the better and healthier person that you are on the path to be.
