I use My Fitness Pal too and trying to measure carbs is hard. Im always 20% carbs and feel like im eating no fresh produce! Can you show me your food to get these measurements? I really want to decrease carbs but just love love love veg.

Hi Sarah, I have 3-5 serves of veg a day and still come in under 20g carb total. Mostly fresh herbs, garlic, ginger, spring onions, tomato, cauliflower, zucchini, green beans, cucumber, asparagus, spinach, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, celery, avocado, capsicum & broccoli plus the occasional bit of carrot/onion. It’s rare for me to have a meal without veggies so it’s totally doable!

Today I had bacon and eggs with heaps of spinach for breakfast. For lunch I had osso Bucco stew with celery, carrot, onion, zucchini, tomatoes and fresh herbs with a side of 1 cup lettuce dressed with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Tonight I’m having cauliflower chicken mac and cheese with a side of green beans and asaparagus. I use the Easy Diet Diary app and my carbs for the day will be 17g total.

What are the actual grams carbs, not percentage?

Using another app like cronometer may help that way you can set net carbs plus you can set your goal by grams and not % this makes it a little easier to track.
