Soft dry fast

(Barbara) #1

Has anyone on Keto done this? Been watching videos on the advantages of dry fasting… Even just one day a week sounds to have substantial advantages…
just wanting to get stories of those that have done this…

Sunrise to sundown for 30 straight days once a year, yep!

Once a month for 24 hours as a religious observance.

oh my goodness… soft dry fast or dry fast… you employed ?

Total dry fast. I’m employed. I had surgery on the 3rd day of fasting, and worked through the weekend after surgery. I missed only 4 or 5 days of the 30.

Looks really interesting.
I might try and intermittent dry fast if I can wean myself off coffee because the headaches are shocking, and it’s the only time i get headaches.

It has really annoyed me to read this page

Apparently you can become fat adapted within a week!

“For every 100 grams of fat, your body can make 107-110 grams of water, compared to 60g from carbs and just 42g of water from protein”

Huh? I see some links to some studies there at the bottom but I just can’t bring myself to read through them all. I’m pretty sure that defies the laws of physics though.

I fully agree… my black coffee in the morning is my salvation…:slightly_smiling_face:

Yes - I do intermittent dry fasting as well as longer dry fasts (so far up to 3 days). Not before I did several water fasts though.

Dry fasting … does fasting get any easier .
Do you suffer leg cramps at all

It does get easier with time - it took several weeks of intermittent fasting and some 1 or 2 day fasts to get comfortable with the dry fasting stuff.

I didn’t get leg cramps but I did get pretty severe back pain a couple times. Drinking some salt water with lemon fixed that!
