Sodium, Mag, Pot drink packets

(Marianne) #1

Hello, can anyone recommend sugar free drink packets or powder containing sodium, magnesium and potassium - or do you take it another way? Can you include what you use and a ballpark of what you pay? Thank you.

I take this (Tri-Salts) then add 1/4 tsp aluminum-free Baking Soda. Inexpensive - it comes to about $6 / month. I put it in water and add vanilla extract + stevia and its really good.

I do a pinch of sea salt and a pinch of epsom salt in a mason jar. Reminds me of well water. Packets are a waste of money IMO. Potassium is different conversation. Maybe add a squeeze of lemon.

Many in the Keto/Carnivore space/community/world recommend LMNT.
They even share their ingredients so you can make your own if you want!
Ive never used them myself as I just make my own with ingredients ordered onilne.
Apparently you need to be very careful not to take too much potassium as it can be very dangerous possibly even life threatening (if I remember correctly).

I will occasionally use the LMNT product referenced here, but prefer to stay away from artificial sweeteners. For years I have used what Dr. Berry seems to like, “SALTT Hydrate Electrolyte Drops”. Works well for me but not cheap (presently $41.51 for 18.6 fl oz even with Amazon’s “Subscribe and Save”.

I was using LMNT until a couple of weeks ago when I switched to Redmond Re-Lyte
