So thankful for this way of life

I just had to post. I’m a newbie, I started Keto one month ago. I’ve lost 11 lbs and feel better than I ever have.
I had weight loss surgery 2 1/2 years ago because, though I could lose weight, I would always gain it back plus more. I lost 75 lbs (not all I had to lose) but began to gain it back. I am so addicted to sugar, that if sugar were alcohol, I’d be a skid row bum ( no offense to alcoholics).
A friend pushed me to do Keto with her, so I started to research it and stumbled onto 2keto dudes. You guys have taught me so much!
I am lucky enough not to have diabetes, but my blood pressure was rising and I was in a deep brain fog. I would reach for words all the time. Both are totally better now.
I also happen to be a nurse in a large primary care practice, and have just started discussing Keto with my coworkers. The doctors are very resistant. I have to stop myself from proselytizing about Keto, lol!
I am going to science Sunday at Keto and can’t wait to learn more and commune with other like minded folks.
Thank you 2 Keto dudes and everyone else in these forums for all the information and support!

That’s great news, Annette!

Wow, that very brave of you to talk about it at the office. You’re braver than I am. :+1:

Be careful about keto evangelical speeches, unreceptive people start to think you’re off your rocker. I think it’s better to just shine with results and let the people around you take note. They will ask about what you are doing and leading by example is better than trying to convince carb/sugar addicts that you have the answer to their problems. If you push keto people are very resistant, if you let them question you they’re more likely to use that information instead of thinking you’re a nut case. :cowboy_hat_face:

Yeah, I hear you. It’s just so hard as a nurse. I just want to make everyone well.
