I’ve been throwing up all day and violent dry heeving I pulled all muscles in my back. I ache from head to toe. I cant keep a mouth full of water down. I got electrolites and magneseium powder cant keep anyth9ng down. What do I do? I have a baby to take care of and I am crippled by this I would quit if I could.
So sick with keto flu
Agreed. Those are not side effects of keto flu. That sounds like an actual virus.
I’m feeling better now. Thought I would have to go on a drip if it went on any longer. It was a 24 hour ordeal. Felt so much better after I discover ICE COLD water could be kept down. Thank you all for your input .
Upside I’ve lost 13 lbs/5.9kgs in 6 days of keto.
Glad you are feeling better. When you are ok to eat, EAT! Lots, load of fat, don’t skimp. Consider it part of getting better. Forget weight loss, focus on feeling better and getting healthy. To do that, eat keto!
Just because that reaction is a rarer version of keto flu doesn’t mean it isn’t keto fu. I watched my husband go through this very thing. He was ready to go to the hospital it was so bad. A glass of gatorade sorted him out though and the next time we were just very, very careful to give him loads of electrolytes. He now lives in ketosis and doesn’t need any added electrolytes but for the first couple of weeks he was very sensitive. I, on the other hand, never had the slightest issue with keto flu. People are different, and some people suffer quite horribly. I’m glad you feel better now.
So, I came out of keto. Short story I live in country, on grocery day had a small car accident going to town, had no car for the rest of week, no more keto food for me, and had bdays, + other events. I was on time-out for 3 weeks, gained back 1/3… I was ramping up with more info and testing keto meals in that time. And its back on again, boy was I sick… not deathly like last time… but its terrible. Had some electrolites… but the most helpful thing was ICE! Ice cold water, I mean a full glass of ice with water in between and then sucking on the ice cubes. Both times it was a day - day 1/2 thing. Read something somewhere that it could relate to a thyroid issue. And now I know it was the Keto Flue!
