So freaking happy

Okay so I’ve been on keto for 5 days and I’ve lost 7lbs. I know it’s prob water weight but I’m happy as heck. Had to share with y’all. :slight_smile: I think I can dig this. It’s not so hard anymore. Headaches are gone except in morning. And no more irribility. Do you think I’m in ketosis now or how will I know without the pee strips ?!

You’re in ketosis, sure. When your body runs out of glycogen, it starts burning fat, and when the liver does that it makes ketones. Your body won’t be very good at it yet, but it will be trying!! :smile:

Well done, and keep it up. You’re doing great.

I’m so relieved that for the most part the withdrawals are gone. I read it could last for weeks but I guess I got lucky :wink:

Congrats, every little success counts. If you’re not feeling hungry that’s a very good sign, keeping carbs less than 20g helps with that. You are training your body to use fat instead of carbs for energy. Eventually the side-effects will subside and you should feel great. Remember to get enough salt & water. Well done.

It’s crazy but I’m not hungry anymore. I only eat in the morning to take away my head ache. And I ate supper tonight bc my dad cooked and it smelled good. Lol. I’m under 20 carbs a day and I feel great. :slight_smile: it’s so funny that I’m not hungry.i read about that but thought it was bogus. But I believe it now

Careful, you’re not quite out of the keto flu woods yet. It can happen at any time when you’re new to this, and much depends on where you start from. Just beware, keep the electrolytes up, and have patience.
