It’s extremely hot here I don’t have much of an appetite are there any smoothie recipes anyone has that won’t kick me out of ketosis?

Thanks

Most smoothies would be no no’s as they use a lot of fruits, but I used to have a recipie for an avacado based one that used cocoa powder. It tasted like a creamy chocolate shake.

If I remember right, it was just avacado, cocoa powder and agave sweetener. It wasn’t a Keto recipie, so I’d find something other than agave.
And then load up with a good handful of ice.

I may be forgetting something, but you could start with that and play with it.

So if I was to use just a 1/2 cup of blackberries that would not be good then ? It’s a recipe for that and coconut oil as well as heavy whipping cream .

There’s a lemon cheesecake fat bomb smoothie which I love in a book that I have. Due to copyright, I don’t feel like I should post it, but it’s from this book below. I do add ice, which is listed as optional, and it’s a lovely cold treat.

Limited amounts of berries are okay as long as you have room for them in your carb counts.

It’s just very easy to go overboard on smoothies, so proceed with caution.

I made a matcha green tea one with almond milk, hwc, low carb vanilla protein powder and ice. The second time I added mct oil for extra fat.

Here’s a template for making LC smoothies.

My sister doesn’t use smoothies as a meal replacement or to meet macro ratios. She uses smoothies as a medicine- a vehicle for the powered or liquid form of supplements to get vitamins, minerals, and nutrients. So she adds flax and chia seeds, cinnamon, probiotics, fish oil, turmeric, collagen, berberine, spirulina, chlorella, curcumin, etc.
