Slimfast Keto Meal Bars.. Yay or Nay?

Hi everyone! I recently saw that Wally World now sells Slimfast Keto Meal Bars, has anyone tried them? Also saw the Keto creamer too! I’d love everyone’s thoughts and opinions on these if you’ve tried them, taste good? Are they truly keto friendly?.. for some reason I feel that they could knock me out of ketosis… no valid reason why i think that…
I’ve really been looking for something to satisfy my sweet tooth in the evenings and thought this might do the job??

Dr Ryan Lowery did a ten minute video on them but I’ve not watched it.

No. I don’t even have to look at the ingredients and I’d say no. LOL Because almost any of the bars are NOT the same as whole foods. They’re processed.

Plus, at least initially, I truly believe it’s best to just conquer/starve the sweet tooth monster. Kind of like an alcoholic. They have to abstain 100%…there’s no “well, I’ll just have this little bit to take the edge off.”

Now I’m off to look at the ingredients…

Ingredients have a number of things that are known to create some stomach upset. Plus, it’s recommended to avoid artificial sweetners.

Keep in mind Dr Lowery is highly insulin sensitive so if you’re insulin resistant you may see a different result :slightly_smiling_face: I personally try to avoid artificial sweeteners (they do unkind things to my digestion!) but if you need them once in a while it’s good to know which ones are best for you personally.

I have to disagree with Matt: Give a man a fish, and he’ll eat for today. Teach a man to fish, and he’ll sit in a boat all weekend drinking beer with his buddies!

Haha, yes. There is a similar post already on here isn’t there? Slimfast can shove them where the sun don’t shine in penance for ruining months of my life doing their poxy shakes :smiley:
