Sleep

(Susan) #21

I am more of a restless sleeper and get up constantly throughout the night to make bathroom trips. I drink tons of water and go lots always, but through the night as well. I am tired all the time, I could sleep anytime…

I always drink loads too, but make an effort to limit my intake after lunch so as to make night times more restful. It certainly helps.

Because of some pain in places I can’t sleep in my bed on my side all knight. Anywhere between 2 and 4 hours in I move to a recliner chair where I have a nice pillow and blanket. Sleep there for 1 to 2 hours and then finish back in bed. I used to have to go down the stairs to get to the recliner but recently I bought a new one and put it in my man cave. So getting to the chair and back is almost sleep walking.

I also pee 1 to 2 times a night. St 65yo I pee more often than I used to.

I can and do most days take a nap. Even at work I have an office with a door. 10 mins to no more than 30 minutes. Naps used to be after eating carbage but now they can be early like 10:30. I do get up at 4am to 4:30am most days so that I can get to the gym.

This is good advice; Allie. I am sure if I cut out my evening herbal teas it would help…I just love them (no calories and replaced my snacking pre-Keto during that time). You are spot on though, I need to work on that! Thanks.
