That is key what you said here in that your personal experiences you know your bodies limits on what veg it can handle and what it can not.

Carnivore a lot of people have way different experiences in the veg/fruit dept…so it is not a weak signal ever for those needing and wanting to be in the 100% carnivore eating group.

Again tho what you said is what needs to happen…eat the veg you are comfortable with and fit your plan. A personalized keto plan just for you. What you allow and won’t allow. That is a very smart and detailed way to success for everyone.

It is when a person comes into a category suited to those plan eaters and then just go rogue and against the plans guidelines and more, yea at some point people get irked  I mean if all carnivores went into every single keto thread every day, over and over and said stop all veg and bombarded people with why to eat carnivore only…yea it would get very annoying LOL

So if in the Carnivore category I hope fellow posters would understand you are going to get carnivore ideology, carnivore science behind the plan, carnivore core values, carnivore success stories and more. What else would one expect from a Carnivore thread?

but you had a great post. everyone find their plan and live it and thrive.

Good post. So agree no matter what plan, the 2 key life altering needs of the body are protein and fat only. So to put focus on that is a smart move…no matter what else you are eating.

I like this!

This is ludicrous, he’s not asking for censorship but for SELF CONTROL. censorship is imposed on you by others, Keeping your opinions either to yourself or being more polite about them is not even closely related to censorship and you know it which makes your post an ad hominem attack.

#25

Just some back info if it helps…

Sorry but OP is asking for censorship because the incident that fueled this post from the OP started on a Carnivore thread he didn’t agree with earlier before typing this vent.

He did not want the carnivores telling him not to eat plants.

That IS WHAT a carnivore thread is 100% about.

So if someone wants not one mention of how toxic plants are and we should not be eating, it is then censorship for us on our own carnivore threads to not mention it at all.

I mean,. come on…lol

I can’t apply self control to a 100% carnivore eating guideline. It gets passed forward like any other plan guideline people follow in their plans.

Guideline is do not eat plants. How does one not say that on a carnivore thread and what other way can we convey that? And it isn’t an opinion actually, it is a plan guideline we follow with science.

So if one comes onto a carnivore thread thinking no one is gonna say don’t eat plants then they need education obviously about the plan, but this poster understands the basics of carnivore I believe…so asking for a carnivore not to chat this plan guideline in a carnivore thread would then be a take on censorship.

How I see it all. I am sure others mileage will vary.

It helps.

Personally I want to know everything about everything. I love being able to pull as much as I can from this forum and hardly ever feel like anything is being PUSHED at me or shoved down my throat. We also have to post what we THINK we know so that we can be corrected and I have never personally felt like anyone was insulting me when I was being corrected.

I like that Russian proverb that Reagan capitalized on so well . . . " Trust , but verify"

Maybe the problem is using the “Latest Topic”
selection. If you look through the threads using that, you don’t know which ones are carnivore threads unless you look very carefully. Maybe it is best to check the category before deciding if people are putting their two cents in inappropriately.

I’ve done that on a few occasions.

I never tell people what they should eat. They can eat cat poop if they want to :grinning: lol They just need to turn away when talking to me :grinning:

Now, if they are interested, I’ll be glad to tell them what I eat.

Veggies ? They are usually pretty good loaded with butter and cheese :slightly_smiling_face:

Hey Bob, I’m a totally lazy, dirty Keto’er who loves Sucralose, and Keto yeast bread… Somebody go ahead and try to make me feel bad about it  lol

LOL I get your post and like it.

but there was alot more involved in the initial situation that promoted this rant post.

On the whole it was never about shaming or telling others what not to eat in any vicious way ever…just about plan guidelines if one chooses to follow a specific plan and about what personal effort they would ever put into it if it was a desire to try that plan and drop the excuses. After that initial info what the heck ya do is your personal choice in life

but I loved your post LOL

No one needs to apologize for that… People seemingly like to apologize for normal things, it was always so odd to me… They are so easily become brainwashed about dietary things, it’s scary for me. I never ever learned fat is bad or breakfast is needed, I’ve heard and ignored it (but I had it easy, I guess it’s a different story when one is born in some fatphobic family, I can’t even imagine). Of course, it’s not ideal to hear wrong things or being too forceful but we live in this world, we should learn to ignore, research, listen to our bodies…
There are pretty bad, hateful and intolerant carnivores, sure, there are vegans, ketoers, paleoers and “we should eat everything” folks too who consider diet as a strict religion and of course, the One True Way every sane person should follow.
I never saw people apologize for eating fruit, vegetable or whatever but indeed, it can be a bit sad to see that. I never liked reading “I know it’s bad but I don’t eat breakfast because I don’t want it” either and I saw that so many times…

Normal people aren’t so closed minded, hateful and they probably wasn’t perfect from day one either. Even if one truly is on the wrong path for them, maybe it’s just an early stage of their journey. Sometimes we need time to reach our destination. I don’t like when people forget that we aren’t all the same. Your ideal diet might make me sick and miserable and vice versa.
I personally like to be an omnivore, I’m quite sure I keep this but I will make changes in the future. And couldn’t care less how many people I will upset with this personal business of mine.

As long as people aren’t closed-minded hateful attackers, I totally don’t mind opinions, those are fine. Sometimes I am in a heated discussion about some aspects of my relaxed diet but that’s fine too, I learn that people have some interesting ideas about what keto is for and what we should want. Well, I might want different things, it doesn’t make me wrong.

I find this very forum is quite cute, the best, nicest food related forum I was ever on. I go into a carnivore topic and write walls of texts all the time (until very recently, I was an almost vegetarian with some very relaxed rules even on keto. I’m still close to that) and no one attacks me, in the contrary, I expected and would understand worse  I found bad reasoning once but maybe it was the fault of the article or maybe mixing in personal feelings but it happens sometimes in life. Some people has a quite strong opinion about vegetables and they have the right for that. Especially in their own topics. It seems most people here are smart enough, carnivores go into normal topics but not to talk against the plants in the OP’s diet and I go into carnivore topics but I don’t start fighting for the honor of my precious vegetables or saying passionate poetic things about my fruit garden or whatever. Discussions are nice but rude pointless fights aren’t. We should respect the OP and usually the general theme of the topic, it’s usually not that very hard, I think.
Sometimes people are too excited and forget we aren’t all alike. Until they are genuinely think they are right but accept correction or at least consider it and their attitude is right, not hateful or arrogant, I am fine with them too. I am sure we all write wrong things now and then or consider common but not totally general things as facts… We aren’t perfect experts, no one is.
So, peace. And don’t let others tell you what to feel or eat. And don’t go into places where you aren’t only an outsider but you can’t and don’t want to understand that group. I am fine with carnivores, paleoers, vegans, raw vegans and whatnot but I would never visit a fruitarian or dry fasting topic or blog because I find that insane, my opinion is pretty rigid, I would learn nothing (maybe about the abilities of certain humans but I know the basics already) and if I commented, that wouldn’t end well (I wouldn’t send it and that’s a waste of time and I would get upset anyway). I go to places where I can find knowledge and/or fun, preferably both. I get some people like fights but there are surely topics open for discussion somewhere where we can find willing “opponents”. I still find it stupid between people whose opinion is rigid so I can’t see the point. But as I wrote before, we might want very different things, even from a discussion.
