Shout-out to Keto! It's not just about weight loss
If I could give this post 10 âlikesâ i would. The Dateline episode brought tears to my eyes.
Thank you. I enjoy the energy and weight loss, but I think many of us have no idea how powerful this diet is. So exciting to think of what is going on inside our bodies, even if we donât have horrible illnesses. Hope more people see this.
Thanks for the link, Regina. Itâs just sad that not everyone can see this, or that there are some who will still have some of those doctorâs thinkings even after viewing. ⌠Bottom line; If it works, it should be utilized, whether it doesnât make anyone else profit from it. Because those who need it will.
As Millie says, you do have to weigh and measure everything if you are on a keto diet for disease. You need the correct fat to carb ratio. We are getting results (I have been doing lazy keto) but yes, if I had cancer, or Alzheimers, or motor neurone disease, I would batten down the hatches. But for the general public, there is still wisdom in: âStep away from the grains, and sugars.â Every baby step counts.
Yes maâam, completely understandable, as well as doable. And I think any of us would do what we needed, if there were specific specifications required to have it treat whatever illness. Itâs just a shame when they bring to light something like this, when a lot or most of the things that did happen, could have been avoided.
Not to get on a soap box here, but this is the type of stuff that really gets me. We all know we see things today that we never saw âback in our dayâ, or even just years ago. But is there even any research looking into these things? ⌠We have kids today that are only 10 or 11, that look like they are 19 or 20! This wasnât the case years ago. ⌠We have more and more folks turning out to have severely dangerous allergies to foods, such as peanuts, which is simply taking them out, or even killing them. And some they say canât even be in the vicinity of them? - You didnât hear or see such things like this, including some you mention, Alzheimers, Dementia, etc. If anyone was told to sit and think about all this, and give the first guess of what could be behind some or most of this, Iâm pretty sure most would say âDietâ ⌠What else has really changed that could be the cause?
And how many young athletes have died in recent months due to heart failure, undiagnosed cardiac anomaly, or aneurysm? You have to believe that at least some of it is due to the crappy diets that kids are eating!
Itâs just sad that with all the technology that we have at our disposal today, that itâs still so easy for some to just overlook or ignore the obvious. Most folks know that a lot of the companies we have today donât give one damn about their customers, but are simply more worried about how to make the most amount of money they can. If this means cutting corners, using undesired products that are just âcheaperâ, why care about what health risk?
