Hey
I know everyone says eat when you are hungry, but I am practically never hungry since I became fat adapted. Shouldn’t I at least eat once a day, even though I do not feel the hunger?

I wish I did not have an appetite. But I would say yes. We need nutrients and energy.
Are you overweight or near your desired target weight? I would your weight status drive how much and how often.
I do take a pretty heavy bullet coffee in the morning, electrolytes and multi vitamins. So should I eat without the feeling of hunger. I am a bit confused. Keto dudes says eat when hungry.
If you follow the work of Dr Jason Fung & Megan Ramos then you’ll know that they voice concerns about that in-between stage that’s neither fasting or eating and the potential damage you’ll do to your metabolism. They say fasting days should be just fasting, and eating days should be just eating because if you consume too many calories (whether from fatty coffee, bone broth, or food, it’s still calories) you will stop your body from fasting while not giving it enough fuel to operate properly.
I’m far from an expert, but it may be that with the fatty coffee & supplements you’re putting yourself in this far from ideal middle-ground.
Yeah, I would try a day without the BPC. You may find that by dinner time, you are ready for a real meal and can make it a OMAD. And if you get to that point still without feeling hungry, just make it an EF and see where it takes you.
Just listen to your body. But the BPC sounds like it’s throwing you off.
Assuming you are in good general health then you should not eat if you are not hungry. Not everybody needs to eat every day. People that have health problems complicating the mix sometimes may find themselves in situation where they are not hungry but still need to eat. Most people, most of the time, never need to eat if they are not hungry.
I will try that, I just love my BPC but I’ll try some days without it, and see if the hunger come at dinner time

My opinion is that if you are close to target weight you can afford the luxury of letting your body do the decision making and not eat until and unless you are hungry. If this continues for many weeks, though, and you feel you are undereating and the scale does not go down a bit, you may need to start eating more.
But I would go with the standard advice right now and eat when hungry. One of the points of keto is teaching the body to figure itself out, and for you to learn to listen to it well.
Cheers
Alec
I’d be really curious to know how this all works out for you, and anything you learn from the experience. Keep us posted, please!
Why do adults make things complicated?
Even an infant knows not to eat when they’re not hungry.
I’m very fat adapted and almost never hungry, I get bored but never hungry. So I actually have to consume nutrients through routine:
I could go days without eating with no degradation in quality of life or energy.
It did actually help to cut the BPC away, I did it yesterday, and enjoyed the dinner more than I have done for a while. So maybe the BPC gives to much energy into the system.
