I shared the following with a friend today who is doing their best to live life on a healthier plane yet sometime the fear can be overwhelming. As I started talking about some strategies I felt God speak into my heart the following and wanted to share with everyone who may be going through something similar. THOUGH this is geared towards a person who shares my faith the tenant of it can be applied in most faiths or even in a person who considers themselves agnostic, stoic, or “other” so please don’t write it off just because it’s Christian in nature. My prayer is that it blesses or if you are not a believer helps.
Comment: “Don’t let the fear get to you. The enemy knows that you will be more effective for God’s Kingdom and your loved ones so he uses the fear of change, the fear that you can’t do it, the fear of missing out on your favorite sugary/carbohydrate foods (that are slowly killing you), the fear that you won’t be supported by your loved ones, and the fear that you will fail.
He uses them because he knows that we don’t equate taking the opportunity to heal our bodies with whole food that God provides us with strengthening our relationship with God but that is a lie since 1 Cor 6: 19-20 states:
“19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”
This is not meant to condemn us but to let us know that along with strengthening our spiritual body with study, prayer, fasting, and spending time with God we also should do all that we can to strengthen/heal our mortal bodies as best as we can and the evidence is becoming more and more clear that food can do just that in the absence of sugar/carbohydrates.
