Sesame oil ok?

#1

Sesame is a seed and seed oils are a no-go, so I think maybe sesame oil is not good. I’d not heard/read anything - I know you guys know. Thanks

Since it’s used sparingly as more of a flavoring agent as opposed to frying in it, I don’t see any harm. I use it in my hot & sour soup & savory fat bombs.

I’d agree with @CandyLindTX. Sesame oil is generally used for flavor. You’re not filling your fryer, or even your skillet with sesame oil. I’d say it’s fine.

I use it as a salad dressing instead of olive oil… I think it has a much warmer, or fuller flavor… but that’s typically the only thing I use it for…

Processed seed oils are high in Omega 6 fatty acids which cause mass inflammation. I’d avoid.
