Second time keto
Initially you need to start slow and not jump right in as you will feel like crap. I tried keto a few years back and quit because I wasn’t seeing results. The problem for me was that I had expectations that things would come off as easy as they did before when I did Atkins years before and it didn’t happen. The problem is your body has learned what happens and isn’t shocked into the process this time. Also as many people will say, if you are close to your goal weight already it takes longer to loose that weight. So in reality you could be doing everything right and just going to loose weight more slowly. Most people are here for the long haul and going to eat like this permanently knowing the results are not only for weight loss but also for the health benefits. You will see better energy levels once fat adapted. Generally getting to the point where your body is used to the diet you will feel better… Not all cases are like this but most are. Just ensure your nutrients (potassium, magnesium, sodium) are on point and your macros (no deficit or very small deficit if any) are good and be patient.
steak, steamed or roasted asparagus, broccoli or green beans with butter olive oil, bacon, save the grease cook your eggs in it, cook your chicken breaded in pork rinds and parmesan in it, mushroom and zucchini and sausage in cream sauce of cream cheese, heavy cream and parmesan, tomato basil mozzarella balsamic salads, cabbage cole slaw with sour cream or whole milk plain yogurt, pork tenderloin with spices in the crock pot with bone broth, baked chicken wings and drumsticks in buffalo sauce and blue cheese, save the bones to make bone broth in the crock pot. tbs each Peanut Butter, butter, cream cheese and heavy cream with cinnamon and vanilla and sweetener for a treat. Dont be scared to eat. add salt to your food. If you’re feeling lousy, try some salt.
Once you are adapted you will find you can teach your zumba classes without issue. Once youre adapted you wont need to eat as much fat, because youll be harvesting it from your body.
Ok …iam.feeling much better after reading this post…but one main issue is i feel like throwing up even looking at the butterr and cheese things
Why did you decide to do keto vs another diet if it is unappetizing and the foods on the diet aren’t things you could see yourself eating long term? Why not do the Mediterranean diet or paleo? Just curious.
Take a break from it then. Eat avocados, fatty meat, olive oil. Eggs. I’ve cut back on my dairy as well. Whatever works for you! Make Bone broth and use that in place of lot of butter and dairy dishes
If you want to do keto but don’t like what probably the majority of ketoers eat you’re just going to have to figure out how to make it work for you. You don’t have to eat the same fats a lot of people do if you don’t like them but we don’t know what you will like. If you dont like butter and cheese think about what you DO like and how you would make it. Consider any sauces or dressings or dips you could add fat too. At the beginning i would pick out several things you don’t think would be too hard to make keto friendly and ask for suggestions where you need to.
Keto will only work now…m stuck from a long time witj continuosuly increasing weight and followed low carb diet…so this is only option now as iam a fitness trainer i cant be fat
