I’m thinking of doing a salt water flush after a couple of days of none movement and just to clear my colon of any crap (excuse the pun) that my body could do with clearing. I have done this a couple of times in the past… Yes it’s horrible… both the drinking of the salt water and subsequent hours after. But never whilst doing keto. I just wanted to know if anyone else has done this whilst on keto. What benefits it can have whilst in keto and did the extra water weight stay off once your body adjusts after being removed of all the waste. ???
Salt water flush for keto?
I’ve done it by accident by absent-mindedly taking too much salt with too much water.
Being in a hot climate, it wasn’t the brightest idea so I started rehydrating afterwards. No idea what amount of weight gain or lost.
I drink “smooth move” tea (chamomile flavor) every other weekend. For me personally, I steep the tea for 15-30 minutes. It is effective in about 10-14 hours for me. I plan my time accordingly. I find this to be pretty gentle and very effective for me. I’ve done this both keto and non-keto. Always have excellent results. I’ve never heard of a salt water flush.
Why not just take 600mg megnesium citrate capsules first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and then flush with 2 litres of hot water and lemon? Works very effectively and doesnt taste terrible or make you want to vomit?? Plus then you get your megnesium for the day and you can adjust the doseage in the future to help you stay regular every day?
